Detailed 5 Days Tanzania Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its huge elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and varied wildlife. Enjoy game drives through the savannah and along the Tarangire River, where animals gather during the dry season.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge or tented camp near Karatu or Lake Manyara.
Day 2: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, continue your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro highlands along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, you’ll experience your first game drive across the endless plains, home to predators, grazing herds, and seasonal migration movements.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp inside the Serengeti.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives. This gives you more time to witness predators in action and follow wildlife across different regions of the park. Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha
